Strawberry Tartlets

Ingredients


Some short crust paste, 

  • fresh strawberries, 
  • 1 oz rice 
  • 1 gill  syrup
  • coconut

Method

Line some small patty pans with short (crust) paste. Fill them with uncooked rice and bake. Have ready some fresh strawberries, remove the stalks and just warm them in a syrup of lump sugar and water. Add a tsp of brandy. When cold remove the rice. Fill the tartlets and over each scatter a little of desiccated coconuts. Serve hot or cold as preferred.
