Shrewsbury Cake

Sift 1 lb of sugar, some powdered cinnamon and  little nutmeg, grated, 3 lbs of flour, add a little rosewater to 3 eggs well beaten and mix these with the flour and then pour into it as much melted butter as will make it a good thickness roll out. Mould it well and roll thin and cut it into such as you like.
