Seed cake
Ingredients
- 1 lb Butter
- 6 Eggs
- 1/4 lb Sifted sugar
- Powdered mace and grated nutmeg to taste.
- 1 lb Flour
- 3/4 ozs Caraway seeds
Method
Beat the butter to a cream. Dredge in the flour, add sugar, mace, nutmeg and caraway sees and mix them well together. Whisk egg, stir them in the cake for 10 minutes, put it into a tin lined with buttered paper. Bake from 11/2 to 2 hours.
