Pineapple Triffle

Ingredients

  • 2 ozs Butter
  • 2 ozs Flour
  • 1/2 pt Milk
  • 1/4 pt Pineapple syrup
  • 1 tin Pineapple chunks
  • Yolks of 2 eggs 
  • Sugar to taste

Method

Melt the buttered and add the flour gradually then add the milk, syrup, sugar and lastly the yolks of eggs (well beaten) and stir until thickened. Cut pineapples chunks into small pieces and place in the bottom of a dish and when the sauce is fairly cool pour over the pineapple. When cool cover over with 1/2 pt raw cream (whipped) and chopped almonds.
