Damson wine
Gather the fruit on a dry day. to every 8 lbs of fruit pour over 1 gallon of boiling water. Let it stand eight days. Drain it off and put it into a vessel. To every gallon 1/2 pt of brandy if desired, do not put the bung in light until it has done hissing when bottle it put a lump of sugar into each bottle. Ready for use at Xmas.
