Christmas Pudding
Ingredients
- 11/2 lbs Currants
- 11/2 lbs Raisins
- 1/2 lb Flour
- 1/2 lb Breadcrumbs
- 3 Nutmegs
- 1 lb Sugar
- A little baking powder
- 1/2 lb Citron and candied peel
- 1 lb Suet
- 4 Eggs
- 1/4 pt Brandy
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/4 pt Sherry
- (Added in pencil: War time measure - I add to this 2 tbsp marmalade, 1/2 lb of dates chopped.)
Method
Let them boil for a day. When liked add a little of ginger (double the quantity) Add milk or stout instead of the spirits.
