Chocolate Fruit Cake
Ingredients
- 10 ozs National Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 3 tbsp Cocoa
- 3 ozs Marge or cooking fat
- 3 ozs Sugar
- 3 ozs Fruit
Method
Put sugar, water, fruit and fat into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool and add soda. Stir in flour sifted with cocoa and mix well. Put into a cake tin well greased and bake for one hour in a moderate oven.
