Apple Cake
Ingredients
- 1 lb Loaf sugar
- 1/2 oz Gelatine
- 2 lb Peeled and cored apples
- 1/2 Lemon
Method
Boil the sugar with 1 pt of water in which the gelatine has been soaked for 20 minutes. Then add the apples peeled and cored with the juice and grated peel of the lemon. Boil this mixture gently while stirring at intervals till quite stiff and place in a mould. When cold turn out and serve with a boiled custard.
